Skai Jackson Files for Protection: Inside the Abuse Allegations Against Deondre Burgin

Actress and former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson has officially filed a restraining order against Deondre Burgin, the father of her three-month-old son. The legal move, made through Los Angeles County Superior Court, follows a series of disturbing allegations of domestic abuse that allegedly took place over the past six months.

Shocking Claims of Physical Abuse

According to court documents, Jackson describes multiple violent incidents, including a disturbing Mother’s Day attack. On that day, Burgin allegedly pulled her hair, slammed her head into a car window, and punched her in the face—all while she was holding their baby, Kasai. Jackson claims these types of assaults occurred nearly weekly throughout 2024 and included choking, scratching, and banging her head against walls.

In a particularly horrifying account, Jackson states that while pregnant, Burgin tried to force her to drink bleach to induce a miscarriage and threatened to stab her stomach if she screamed. On one occasion, she locked herself in the bathroom, but Burgin reportedly broke the door down, dragged her out, slammed her into a wall, and choked her until she struggled to breathe. Jackson says she has video evidence to support her claims.

Jackson has been granted a temporary restraining order, which prohibits Burgin from coming within 100 yards of her, their baby, or even their pet dog. She also asked the court to require Burgin to attend domestic violence rehabilitation, establish a formal child support agreement, and cover her legal fees. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for June 9, 2025.

Who Is Deondre Burgin?

Burgin, known online as “Yerkky Yerkky,” has a troubled legal history. He was arrested in November 2024 for violating probation and again in April 2025 for failing to appear in court for a traffic-related offense. He was also incarcerated during the birth of their child in January 2025 and did not attend the delivery.

Skai Jackson’s Focus: Safety and Motherhood

Despite the trauma, Jackson remains resilient. In a February 2025 interview with E! News, she described motherhood as a powerful, challenging, yet rewarding journey. She emphasized that protecting her and her child’s well-being remains her top priority during this difficult time.
