Widespread Damage
Severe infrastructure damage included torn-off rooftops, downed trees, and collapsed power lines. Centennial Christian Church was among the buildings partially destroyed by the high winds. Around 100,000 customers experienced power outages following the storm.
Emergency Response and Safety Measures
More than 500 emergency responders were deployed, including 17 specialized search-and-rescue teams, to search for victims possibly trapped under rubble. The city government imposed a curfew in the hardest-hit areas to prevent looting and ensure public safety.
